Dr Choudhri’s expertise changed my life. I had went to Dr Choudhri as a third opinion, and wish I had went to him first. After two spontaneous dissections, I spent 3.5 years with multiple doctors telling me I had a brain aneurysm that limited my activities ranging from recreational to physical exercise. I had lost hope that I’d ever return to my “normal” self. I then saw Dr Choudhri, who felt confident in doing a procedure that others did not feel comfortable performing, in order to determine whether I actually had a true brain aneurysm. I’m 73 years old and recently went through a very frightening health scare involving a possible carotid artery issue. It was such a pleasure to be treated by Dr. Choudhri. He explained everything that needed to be done in terms that I and my husband could understand. During my post op appointment he took the time to show me pictures of what was done, he explained how what he did stopped the bleeding, we went over the continuation of my medication and follow up angiogram to be done. I currently drive almost 3 hours to be seen by him. I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t completely trust him.

Dr. Choudhri was initially consulted as a second opinion for two spontaneous cervical dissections I endured which resulted in pseudoaneurysms. He has followed me for 5 years now, and I couldn’t be more pleased. He always answers all of my questions and has a calm bedside manner. If it weren’t for his expertise, I would have had an invasive procedure done which involved risk of stroke. I trust Dr. Choudhri with my complex care.

I had the opportunity, and pleasure to meet with Dr. Choudhri for a brain aneurism that was recognized in a recent MRI/MRA. Dr. Choudhri took the time to show my wife, daughter and me, the results and images of the MRI/MRA. He fully explained the benefits of moving forward with the surgery, as well as the risks if I elected not to have the surgery. Dr. Choudhri’s “Team” (Julia & Riley) were excellent and very responsive, which honestly provided us a high level of confidence that our decision to proceed with Dr. Choudhri and his Team, for my surgery was the right decision. In terms of the surgery itself, Dr. Choudhri’s OR Team was very nice and welcoming when I arrived in the OR suite, and Dr. Choudhri personally came over to me to assure me that I was going to be fine and in good hands. My stay at HUP was excellent and the nurses and staff were nothing less than caring and professional.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr Choudri is. My sister in law had surgery with him and when I found out I had an aneurysm I immediately called his office as i already felt comfortable with him as being my doctor. At our first office appointment he explained everything in a way you could understand. He could always be contacted with any issues after surgery and response time was excellent. I would highly recommend Dr Choudri.

During an MRI for a hearing matter, it was discovered that I had two aneurysms on my brain. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Choudhri and he recommend surgery to repair these issues. Surgery was successful with no complications afterwards. It has now been almost two years and a recent MRA shows that there is NO SIGN of these aneurysms whatsoever. Dr. Choudhri was quick to respond to inquiries after the surgery and was very informative during office visits. I would recommend him to friends and family. He has well earned this 5 star rating.

Our son Nick has been with Dr Chouhdri since 2017. His case/brain injury is very complex. Dr Chouhdri has done numerous procedures, including craniotomy, embolizations and two rounds of gamma knife radiation. We cannot say enough good things about Dr Chouhdri. He has always took great care of Nick. His approach was always carefully mapped out. We always felt that we were in good hands. His communication and availability to us was outstanding. We will miss him. He’s became part of our family.

All 3 of my surgeries went smoothly. Dr. Choudhri was informative and attentive to both my pre and post op visits. I was very comfortable throughout all the surgeries.

i was so incredibly impressed after my first meeting with Dr.Choudhri. He listened to me, answered all my questions and explained things to me in a way I understood. I never felt pressured into making any decisions. He was patient and so kind. On the day of my Angiogram, June 18, 2025, his staff was stellar. Patient with me and addressed all of my concerns. They too were all so kind. I give the entire Medical team an A+. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Penn. Communications to me were always delayed. My arrival times changes several times. The information I was told, by phone, from the operating room, was not at all the same as the information I was given when I checked in. I was really quite peeved at the time I wasted waiting and waiting. My husband took off work and he could have stayed at home a bit longer and worked before taking me. Instead, we just waited and waited in the waiting room. Something to ponder….a patient’s time is just as valuable as the time of a medical provider and any other professional. I was referred to Dr. Choudhri by my primary care physician for persistent tinnitus in my left ear—a maddening experience. From the start, his office demonstrated a truly patient-centered approach by proactively scheduling my appointment and bringing me in right away. Dr. Choudhri was exceptionally knowledgeable, confident, and kind—already familiar with my case before our first visit, which immediately put me at ease. Ultimately, surgery was necessary—my first major procedure a little nerve-wracking since it involved my brain. Dr. Choudhri’s team coordinated everything seamlessly, from bloodwork to additional tests – and most importantly for me, they worked quickly. Even a separate hearing specialist I saw across town spoke highly of him as a person, not just medically, reinforcing my confidence in him. On the original surgery date, the hospital had system issues and canceled at the last minute after I had already been waiting in the waiting room for hours. It was devastating to me as at this point I really felt like I couldn’t take one more day of this noise without going crazy. I was sobbing. Dr. Choudhri personally came out, recognized my distress, and promised to come in early the following week to squeeze me in. This was quite the comfort since at this point I would have let him perform the surgery in his garage. True to his word, he performed the surgery the following week, and my symptoms disappeared immediately. Throughout this entire process, Dr. Choudhri consistently exemplified a patient-centered approach, showing genuine concern for me, but also was kind enough to check in with me regarding my partner and family. I cannot recommend him more highly—he is a skilled, caring physician who truly puts his patients first. Thank you, Dr. Choudhri!

Dr Choudhi saved my life! Needed brian surgery for a tumor that was causing seizures. He removed it w no issues, especially being that it was close to the area that controls speech. I’m back to being myself, thanks again Doc!

What can I say this man saved my husbands life! In 2020 my husband suffered a ruptured aneurysm and was flown from Lancaster to Philadelphia by helicopter. Then in 2022 we found out his aneurysm was returning and had to undergo a craniotomy an 8 hour surgery to clip his aneurysm. My husband is alive and doing extremely well and I can not thank him enough!!! Philadelphia we love you!!!

How do you thank a doctor for curing you? Dr. Choudhri THANK YOU! I found out over a decade ago that I had 2 brain aneurysms, I watched them as recommended by every few years seeing if they had changed via MRA or Catscan as recommended from my previous doctor at another hospital. I met Dr. C last summer, I wanted a second opinion due to increasing headaches over the years. He recommended testing (Angiogram) to see exactly where my aneurysms were and be able to get a better view and to come up with a plan based on the size, shape, location etc. It turns out the aneurysms had grown and one even had a daughter sac – he offered me a chance to live without the worry of having my aneurysms rupture – he said he could cure me!!!! I didn’t even know they could do that and was never offered this by my previous doctor – I am young and could live another 50 plus years so I took DR. C up on a cure! Dr. C went over all the research, plans, procedure information with me. He takes his time to give proper care, explanations, support, guidance, and educates his patients so they can feel good about these big decisions. He was able to do both surgeries and only left 1 tiny dot on my wrist as a reminder of what was. AMAZING – he fixed me and placed 4 flow diverter stents all through an artery in my arm:) If you need a neurosurgeon for a loved one or yourself -look no further- Dr. Choudhri is a lifesaver and what I would consider BEST Neurosurgeon!

I am extremely grateful to Doctor Choudhri for assessing my medical condition and providing his medical expertise to my case. I can’t say it any more clearly than Dr. Choudhri and his amazing team saved my life. I suffered for almost two years from a rare disorder with terrible side effects. I met with countless specialists in DC but none were able to diagnose the issue. Dr. Choudhri is a literal life saver. After being diagnosed with 2 unruptured brain aneurysms, I found myself frightened, anxious, and lost. After being plagued with an annoying/disabling condition ( i.e., pulsatile tinnitus) for over a year, seeing many doctors and undergoing batteries of diagnostic tests with no answers, Dr. Choudhri was the only doctor that accurately suspected the underlying cause, ordered the correct test, and pinpointed the problem as an arteriovenous Dural Fistula that placed me at significant risk of a stroke or brain hemorrhage.
