About Dr. Omar Choudhri

Dr. Omar Choudhri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cerebrovascular, endovascular, and skull base neurosurgeon with over 15 years of experience treating complex neurovascular conditions. He earned his medical degree (M.B.,B.S.) from Aga Khan University and a Master of Health Care Innovation (MHCI) from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Choudhri completed his neurosurgical residency and served as Chief Resident at Stanford University Medical Center, one of the nation’s top neurosurgery training programs.
Dr. Choudhri pursued three distinct fellowships to build the deepest possible expertise in cerebrovascular disease: an Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology fellowship at Stanford University, a Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a Cerebrovascular Research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. This breadth of training across microsurgical, endovascular, and research disciplines gives him a uniquely comprehensive approach to neurovascular care.
Dr. Choudhri has held faculty appointments at leading academic medical centers, including serving as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery with a secondary appointment in Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He has trained dozens of medical students, residents, and fellows, and maintains an active commitment to education and mentorship. His academic portfolio includes 160+ peer-reviewed publications, 2,300+ citations, and active involvement in multicenter research collaborations.
