Dr. Omar Choudhri is a board-certified neurosurgeon with extensive training and a distinguished academic career. He received his medical degree (M.B.,B.S.) from Aga Khan University and a Masters of Health Care Innovation (MHCI) from the University of Pennsylvania. His postgraduate training includes a neurosurgical residency at the Stanford University Medical Center, recognized as one of the top programs in the country.
Choudhri further specialized in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery/interventional Neuroradiology through prestigious fellowships at University of Texas at Houston and Stanford University . He spent an additional year completing a cerebrovascular research fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. These fellowships provided him with advanced expertise in the latest techniques for treating complex neurovascular conditions.
Choudhri’s academic appointments at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, reflect his commitment to education and research. He serves as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Assistant Professor of Radiology in Neurosurgery, actively contributing to the training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
